What is ISO? ISO is a set of standards related to Quality Management Systems. (The term ISO 9000 is an identity code.) These standards are based on eight management principles:
What can it do for me and my company? A number of studies indicate that organizations which are ISO certified achieved a better return on assets and superior operational, financial and stock market performance. Is it compulsory (enforced)? It is not compulsory, however it is becoming highly necessary. As globalization streaks forward, the need for standardization and systems increases. In order for Customers to receive and suppliers to supply, goods and services, it is important with agreed specifications. Over a million ISO 9000 certifications have been issued on a worldwide basis. Significantly, China occupies almost a quarter of all global certifications. Significantly, the USA occupies only ninth place behind Italy, Japan, Spain, Russia, Germany, the UK and India. How long will it take to implement? Each course is different in terms of content.
